This curved maple wall cabinet looks great in my living room. I use it to display photos of my kids and grandkids, along with a few collectible figurines. The maple finish complements the accents on my couch and love seat, along with my end tables and coffee table. I found the maple case online at a site called DisplayCabinets.us.com. I've found that this site has the best deals on a lot of different display cases. They must specialize in them or something. A lot of their selection is geared towards more retail use, but they have a curio section that is ideal for finding items like this. I like how the curve of this maple wall cabinet makes my parlor look a little.... I can't think of any other word than "softer". It adds a warm feel to the room. And i'd be lying if I said I didn't use the mirror back to check my hair every once in a while. It's true, I do. And so do my house guests (I catch Sally doing it all the time, she's so vain). I recommend you scoot on over to displaycabinets.us.com to find yourself a nice wall-mounted cabinet to display images of your grandkids in. I know you won't be dissapointed.

I needed a small display case to put my mother’s Swarovski collection in. Like many people, when my mother passed away I needed to go through her things and keep the ones that were most dear to her heart. Every year for Christmas she and her sisters gave each other a small Swarovski animal, so as the years went on she accumulated quite a few of these.

I needed a place to store these figurines where they would be safe from my kids and our dog! I was on the market for a wall mounted classic piece that would coordinate with our country style home. I finally found what I needed on a site called; DisplayCabinets.us.com. They specialize in cases of all sorts; I saw big ones, lighted ones, classic and modern style ones. In the wall mounted case alone they had a few that would coordinate with our furniture.

I chose this one because of the color, the delicate arched pediment, the glass mirrored back (fantastic to showcase the animals) and the hinged door to allow me access to them for cleaning and to just hold one when I needed to connect with her.

I know what you're thinking 'How is a bunch of display cases suppose to do all that?' Well take it from me, Ron, on just how to make your night and bachelor-pad-a-reno the best thing since scotch. First step, hop on over to Displayscabinets.us.com and buy your self a whole boat load of these snazzy golden oak display cases. The more the better. Then, set your place up, clean yourself up, and don your brightest, best polyester 3 piece suit. Next, lay out a wheel of cheese, maybe muenster or an aged brie and some port wine. Now we're cooking on a gas grill. Last call over that girl who's number you got at Sea World (Note: all women love dolphins).

Once shes over take her coat and offer her some port. When she mentions the seven display cases you have set up in your living room, play coy. "Oh those...I just like to be surrounded by beauty". Then LAY-IT-ON. You want to impress this lucky lady, tell her about the Dentil molding and reeded side columns. Or how about the "no-tip" base that allows the displays cases to be hung up or placed on a mantel or counter. You know because you're always remodeling. Not to mention the four adjustable glass shelves for you expensive collectors Elvis busts and your buffalo nickle collection.

So go in peace friend and never forget where you learned this vital piece of information from. Your BFFL Ronny B.

Curio Cabinets for the Home

Curio cabinets are essential for use in any home!

My mom is one of those people that sees dishes, and vases and knick knacks she likes, and buys them. Doesn't matter if she has a place to display them or put them. If she sees something she likes, consider it sold. Our attic, spare room and garage have all turned into storage areas for all of her themed dishware, holiday items, knick knacks and expensive vases. I said to her recently, after almost falling out of the attic when tripping over a huge pile of dishes (never been used mind you), "Why don't you just get a large curio cabinet to display some of this nice dishware? Its not doing us any good in piles everywhere!" Her response was "Those curio cabinets are always sooo expensive. And besides, I'd need at least 4 or five curio cabinets to display all of the dishes and things I have." I thought to myself, time to do a little research. I knew there had to be a company out there that made affordable curio cabinets.

After a little web surfing, I came across this company called DisplayCases.us.com. They had a really nice line of curio cabinets. They even sold Howard Miller curio cabinets, which are really expensive. But I did stumble across curio cabinets from another company on the site, by Morrison-Hewitt. I'd never heard of them before, but the prices on the website seemed really affordable and the craftsmanship seemed equal or even better to that of the Howard Miller curio cabinets. Without even telling my mom, I went ahead and purchased one of the curio cabinets, a fairly large one about 45"w which I thought would be able to display a good portion of my mom's stuff. I had it delivered on a day I knew she wouldn't be home, and set up a bunch of her favorite dishes and vases. When she came home, she was so surprised. She exclaimed, "Oh my goodness. This is just too much! This must have cost you a fortune. I'm going to have to up your rent if you have this much money to spare!" When I told her it didn't cost nearly what she probably thought it did, she still insisted on charging more rent. And here I was thinking I was doing a good thing...
