A food bin will display food and keep it clean…last winter my grandmother got very sick so I embarked on a three plane ride to Caracas, Venezuela. Nothing to it, you say?

Well did I mention that I live in RI, and I had to make my first stop in Detroit…yes! you guessed it, the plane could not continue due to a snow storm.

The decent was hell, I lost my connection to Houston, well that was the worst of it …or so I thought.

The next morning I crawled out of bed and went down to the hotel lobby to get some breakfast before hopping on the bus back to the airport and what did I see? A FLY!!!!

I had a decision to make: do I eat the food and risk getting sick or do I starve ….but then I saw it, the bagel bin…sorry the ENCLOSED bagel bin.

It had a hinged door to access the bagels. Since it was made from clear acrylic I could see the bagels and decide which one I wanted before opening the door. I was so happy!

Would this mean that my luck was finally turning? Maybe. That day I was able catch all my planes and finally saw my grandmother.

The bakery display made me do it. I apologize! I stumbled upon this acrylic bin at my local bakery and could not resist their beautiful display of cookies and pastries. Usually I have the willpower to walk by the acrylic display and ignore the decadent goodies, however with this new bin in place, I couldn’t resist. Its clear acrylic presentation made each and every cookie look delicious with their chocolate chips glistening in the fluorescents. Could they have been freshly baked, right out of the oven? They sure did look good…

To make matters worse, the top tray of goodies was tilted forward as to offer me a selection. How could you do this to me? I am viciously dieting for my sister’s summer wedding! She wants us to wear these royal purple mermaid tail dresses that only look good on size 2, 6-foot tall beauties! How could you tempt me with your clear acrylic display and angled trays! And when the baker took out the tray to serve me my treat, it slide out so smoothly I had an Ally McBeal-like hallucination of me grabbing the tray and running down the aisle as if I was carrying a football to score the winning touchdown!

Clearly this bakery display has had an effect on me and I must avoid this bakery at all costs! However, if you own a bakery or simply just want to torture your friends, then incorporate this acrylic bin into a tabletop presentation. You’ll be surprised at how ravenous people will be when you hand them that decadent treat.
