At a recent singles convention I attended, recently engaged or married individuals spoke about not giving up. Each speaker took his or her turn behind an acrylic lectern to share their stories about fate and finding that special someone.
There I was, a small-town girl, living in a lonely world. I was bored one night so I took a train, not knowing where it was going. I had just recently moved to the city, to start my life fresh with a new job and freedom from bad news boyfriends. Jake and I bumped into each other on that lonely "Journey", and the rest is history.

The acrylic lectern has a contemporary look, with its aluminum siding, perfect for the venue in which the convention took place. Its clear acrylic panels allowed those in the audience to focus on each speaker and the joy they shared with us about finding “The One.” They were truly radiating, and the acrylic podium was the perfect choice for showcasing their beaming presence!
I was always told that I would never find the right girl at a bar. The smell of wine and cheap perfume was reason enough, according to some, to understand that those women were only there for one thing. However, as a lounge singer, I had no choice but to visit such facilities. But then I met Tammy. We shared a smile all night long and on and on and on. We’ve been together ever since that night!

This floor lectern is constructed from 3/4” thick acrylic for a sturdy yet unimposing presentation. The speakers were able to rest their hands on the large top surface. There is even a lip to keep paperwork and notes in place during a speech. Many of the presenters even brought up photos of their significant others, who couldn’t attend the convention. The final speaker of the night delivered some powerful words to live by that still ring in my head today.
Some will win, some will lose. Some were born to sing the blues. Oh the movie never ends. It goes on and on and on and on... Don’t stop believing. Hold on to that feeling!

With that advice, I went out into the world with new hope and trust that one day, when I least expect it, my true love will enter my life.
