Tilting Vs. Non-Tilting Brackets
Ease of view is very important
when using a television set or monitor. Most LCD
and Plasma flat
screen televisions have specific viewing angles due to the way light is passed
through each television. Plasma televisions have about a 160° viewing angle,
while LCD have between 120° and 130° viewing angle. In the areas outside of
these ranges, the screen will become darker and harder to see.
To help with viewing, many television stands and mounts have an optional tilting bracket available. For televisions that will be above the average viewing height, a tilting bracket will be essential to provide passersby with the best depiction of the screen. Potential customers are more likely to stop and view the television screen when the picture is clear. Non-tilting TV brackets work best in situations where the viewer will see the television straight on, not below or above their line of sight.
Stand Only
Conference rooms, trade shows, and retail stores can all benefit greatly from using a plasma stand for presentations or to promote products. The simplicity of a television on stand with no peripherals makes the images on the screen pop even more. Conference rooms can use stands for presentations, or even have teleconferences.
Stands that feature vertical mounts allow a fuller view of the person on the teleconference screen. Retail stores will find it convenient to use the TV as another sales associate, explaining product information visually to potential customers. Businesses at trade shows will find using a promotional video to entice someone to their booth with leave them more open for a pitch from the workers of the booth.
Poster Holders
One of the more traditional advertising methods is a poster frame. Displaying a graphic instantly calls out to anyone passing by. Some television stands marry the more traditional poster frames with wide screen plasma or LCD monitors. This is great for your business to display a price point or critical information that you want readily available to a consumer, while still using the television to tell of great features available. Some of the most popular poster holders for television stands include a lens that protects the graphic, as well as helping to stabilize it in the holder.
Shelves & Pockets

After you draw in a client with the allure of your television, it’s very important to be able to demonstrate to them physically what your company can do. Using a shelf system TV stand, you can place your company’s products onto the shelves so that they are at hand for a customer to feel. Placing a DVD player on the shelf makes it easy to hook-up your video presentation on the television, or you can place a keyboard on the shelf like a kiosk, allowing passersby to search through a product line themselves.
Another great feature of some TV stands are pockets to hold brochures. After seeing a video and being excited by the products they see, most visitors will be pleased they can take a brochure with them for further information. LCD & Plasma stands with pockets are ideal for trade shows, where people who are interested in your business, but have to get to as many booths as possible will appreciate being able to take additional information with them.
Banners
At a trade show, or in a retail environment, standing out to a customer can
be the key to them choosing your company over a competitor. Having an exciting
advertising tool to promote sales, new products, or benefits of working with
your company are surefire ways to allure customers and clients in your store
and hear your sales pitch. Utilizing large banners, in addition to the televisions
on the stand, you can create a truly eye catching display that will draw attention
into your business. Custom
color banners allow you to display the exact graphics you want, in exciting
colors that will bring passersby in to see what the television is displaying.
Residential
For those not looking solely for their business, a wide range of residential television stands are available for purchase. From stands that only hold televisions, to ones with shelves to support your various accessories (such as a video game system or surround sound) or full on entertainment centers, there are TV stands to fit every need. Many stands have the added benefit of slots through the stand to keep wires hidden from view, leaving you with a tidy display to enjoy. As the focus of many living rooms, you’ll want a television stand that complements its surroundings in an elegant fashion. These stands can also be used quite effectively in waiting areas and lobbies where more of an "at home" feeling is ideal to the comfort level of visitors.
