This clear cereal dispenser is a life-saver! I have 2 young nephews whom I watch on a regular basis (you might call me their mother, if you were so inclined). They are just about that age. You know...cute when they're exhausted, but otherwise hyper, over-active, bratty, fighting, dirty, stinky, get-into-everything little monsters. Don't get me wrong, I love them dearly, they are just at that age. Their new thing is independence. They want to do everything themselves. Which, you know, I'm all for this (for the most part; I'll skip the story about them deciding they were old enough to change my 8 month old daughter's diaper!). Well, I must say, I've found something that really seems to help them along in this stage: a clear cereal dispenser. I have bought a few from this website called cereal-dispenser.us.com. I keep them on my kitchen counter to keep cereal, snacks, dried pasta, rice, and beans all available with the quick turn of a knob. They have also turned out to be a great way to satisfy the "independence needs" of my nephews, and actually get them to help me make dinner. They help themselves to snacks and when they get sick of entertaining themselves, I ask them to help with dinner. They get out the measuring cups and help portion out beans, rice, pasta, etc. This clear cereal dispenser really is a lifesaver. Kids really will be entertained and enjoy the strangest of things. I must have $600 worth of toys in my house for them to play with, but they are happiest helping themselves to some trail mix and helping me make risotto.
