I needed a small display case to put my mother’s Swarovski collection in. Like many people, when my mother passed away I needed to go through her things and keep the ones that were most dear to her heart. Every year for Christmas she and her sisters gave each other a small Swarovski animal, so as the years went on she accumulated quite a few of these.

I needed a place to store these figurines where they would be safe from my kids and our dog! I was on the market for a wall mounted classic piece that would coordinate with our country style home. I finally found what I needed on a site called; DisplayCabinets.us.com. They specialize in cases of all sorts; I saw big ones, lighted ones, classic and modern style ones. In the wall mounted case alone they had a few that would coordinate with our furniture.

I chose this one because of the color, the delicate arched pediment, the glass mirrored back (fantastic to showcase the animals) and the hinged door to allow me access to them for cleaning and to just hold one when I needed to connect with her.
