As a non-smoker, I've always been totally turned off by those who do smoke. I was very happy, however, when companies, restaurants started posting no smoking signs everywhere, banning people from smoking within their establishment. There is nothing worse than going out to eat, and instead of leaving smelling like delicious food, you leave smelling like a stale ash tray... DISGUSTING.

Recently I went out to eat with a friend of mine at this nice restaurant, a non-smoking restaurant of course. We were just about to order our food, when the hostess came and sat a couple right next to us. The hostess had no sooner said the usual "Your server will be right with you," when they lit up cigarettes! I tapped the guy on the shoulder, as he was just within reach, and said "Uh, hey buddy, the no smoking sign is in plain sight, can't you see it?!" Blowing smoke into my face, he answered smugly, "Oh that's too bad now isn't it. Its a free country, so I'm free to smoke in here if I want to." The waitress then came over to their table and asked the guy to kindly stop smoking as she pointed to the no smoking sign. He gave her the same answer he gave me, blowing smoke in her face as well. The nerve of some people! But that guy got his. The waitress told her manager, who then called the cops. The cops got there about 10 minutes later, just as the guy was lighting up another cigarette. The cops tried to reason with him, but when he gave them the same "free country" speech, they put him in cuffs. I happily announced, "That's what you get when you fill yourself with cancer!"
