This is a pretty cool display case. It is really big and can fit a lot of items. Trust me, I had to fill it up to photograph it, and Ira and I both couldn't find enough stuff to fill it. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying its not worth it to buy it, you just have to have enough stuff to fill it. You probably do if you're looking to buy it, but we didn't because we were just trying to take a picture of it. Anyways, if you ARE, IN FACT, looking to buy this, I suspect you are the owner of one of the following: department store, jewelry store, school, museum, office building. Ok, maybe not the owner of the last three, but at least the principal, general manager, person in charge of purchasing, or other person of power. Why do I believe this? Well because this is the perfect case for those places. You can display all sorts of things that you would sell or show off in those places. However, if you are not a person of power in any of the afore mentioned places, why are you looking at this? When you were a kid, did you ever walk up to a retail counter and spin the jewelry display case while your mom tried on sunglasses or looked at earrings? Well I did and boy was it fun! Have you ever found yourself in the position that all your dolls are coming to life like in the Puppet Master? I have. Worst day ever. Well it was night really and those little monsters are insane. They may have little tiny hands and mini knifes but, I have like 30 of these guys. It was like when you ask your buddy how many 4th graders could you take on at once, just with satanic dolls replacing the kids. My number is 30, yeah they got me good. I looked like a cushion pin. Lost buckets of blood.

Finally, I woke up in the hospital. Luckily this girl stopped by and got me out of there. Thank god for stalker drive bys...i guess. Anyway, so i get home and those little *bleeps* are sitting on my shelf all propped up just the way I had them.

'Cute, you cheeky little monkeys.', I thought to myself.

My mom is one of those people that sees dishes, and vases and knick knacks she likes, and buys them. Doesn't matter if she has a place to display them or put them. If she sees something she likes, consider it sold. Our attic, spare room and garage have all turned into storage areas for all of her themed dishware, holiday items, knick knacks and expensive vases. Information Display Shares Important Messages

This information display keeps office quandaries to a minimum. Just the other day my office celebrated the birthdays of the month by bringing in a giant cake to share. Every month we have a different flavor and this month was carrot! Not my favorite, but certainly a nice digression from typical sugar-loaded sheet cakes. But thus, cake day is not the reason for my blog.

While we sang happy birthday I noticed a discreet message attached to our office information display, which I’m sure many people missed. It was from the new girl, Julie, who clearly was someone who needed to work on her interpersonal skills. She had recently brought in a tub of cream cheese to accommodate her daily breakfast bagel. Apparently someone had gone into the fridge and vandalized her precious bagel spread! She was furious, yet her retaliation was to place a memo on the company information board. It read “$$$ REWARD: A compensation of $25 will be granted to anyone with information regarding the bread crumbs left in my cream cheese, on Monday, September 21st.”

As I held in my snicker I realized Julie was using our information display board as a passive-aggressive way to retaliate. Unsure of the seriousness of the warning, I pointed it out to my coworker Johnny, who nearly choked on his cake when he read it. Apparently he was the culprit! Should we have step-by-step instructions on proper food-sharing techniques?

Regardless of the answers to those questions, Johnny arrived at work the next day with a new tub on cheese. He placed it into the fridge anonymously with the hopes that Julie would be satisfied. And she was. Later on in the day, there appeared a new note, this time with hearts surrounding her grateful words. Like I said, this information display helped us avoid another office quandary.

I found this decorative metal easel at easels.us.com and thought it would be great for my salon! The easel is so beautiful with scrolling metal accents and an adjustable shelf. The shelf will hold images ranging up to 51" in height. The silver finish has a really upscale feel to it. I plan on buying this easel to put in my salon. Every few weeks I do a new hairstyle, or updo, or nail job that is truly spectacular. At a recent singles convention I attended, recently engaged or married individuals spoke about not giving up. Each speaker took his or her turn behind an acrylic lectern to share their stories about fate and finding that special someone.

There I was, a small-town girl, living in a lonely world. I was bored one night so I took a train, not knowing where it was going. I had just recently moved to the city, to start my life fresh with a new job and freedom from bad news boyfriends. Jake and I bumped into each other on that lonely "Journey", and the rest is history.

Are you in the market for a Curved Maple Podium? Do you have something to say? Do you want to be heard loud and clear? Do you know someone who does? Well, I do. My friend Jane is the leader of a Retail Therapy Group. This is a group of women (and actually some men, as well) that prefer to shop away their stress, rather than choose more potentially dangerous stress relievers (you know...sex, drugs, rock & roll...). The group meets Wednesday nights (I know, kind of cliche, right?) at 7 pm. It is also sort of a social networking group. At the Wednesday night meetings shopping "dates" are made between members. People choose a day that they know they will probably be really stressed out and sign up for "shopping time". They are then paired with another member with the same day and coordinating time schedule. For example, Kim has a big meeting at work on Friday morning, so she signs up for a "shopping time" on Friday evening. Elisa has to babysit her sister's bratty kids on Friday because they go to one of those private schools that seem to have random days off when the "regular" kids still have to go school and parents still have to work. After spending all morning and afternoon with those kids, she will certainly need a little stress relief, so she signs up for Friday evening as well. So now, Kim and Elisa will go shopping together Friday evening. Now, I know what you're thinking.... what if Kim and Elisa don't get along, doesn't that just totally defeat the purpose? Well, they don't need to drive together and they don't even need to shop at the same stores if they don't want to. It's all up to them how they set it up. So the next Wednesday when everyone shows up to the meeting they share their "date" with everyone else and, of course, show off what they bought (isn't that what this is all about anyways, SHOPPING!)

Anyways, back to why I started writing this in the first place. Jane decided that she wanted a better way to communicate at the meetings. At first people were just standing up at their seats and talking about their dates and what they bought. She thought that was a little too much like "stand up and tell the class your name and something about yourself". She wanted this to be more like Show & Tell; more of a presentation. She was in the market for something to make her 'presenters' feel special. Being that it is a Retail Therapy Group, everyone got to shop for the perfect product, and at a reasonable price. A multimedia lectern is like having a closet, a display table and a podium all in one. I manage a small hotel in a small town and we host several weekly meetings, conferences, and other receptions in our conference room. We always faced the same dilemma: needing storage space, as well as a display area for our projector, document camera and other equipment. Because space was limited, we needed an all-in-one unit that could provide us with storage and give our presenters an area to speak behind and work off of.

Every time I've seen the president give a speech, I noticed he's always behind this huge speaker podium. No matter where he is speaking from, he's behind that speaker podium. While he's babbling on and on, I can't help but tone him out and pay more attention to the speaker podium. Sometimes, in the past, I've wondered, does he travel with his speaker podium, so that if he needs to make a speech, he has it with him? If he does, does it fly with him on Air Force One? Because that would be kind of cool. He could almost practice his speech if he had his presidential speaker podium right there with him while he's flying. And does he have just one presidential speaker podium, or does he have just a bunch of them? So many questions, and really no one to answer them!

And yes, I know I should really be paying attention to the speech, and not the presidential speaker podium when he's talking. I'm sure he has a lot of important things to say when he's speaking, but the words "broken promises" come to mind, so I can't help toning him out. The presidential speaker podium is more attractive to look at anyway. It looks like it is made from real wood with what looks like a medium finish. And the dark blue top screams "I'm the president", but I've also wondered do they make other colors? I'm sure they must. Maybe some day I'll find the answers...
